Custom carbon fiber “tailgate” skin designed and built exclusively for the K5 Tahoe. This is required because the Tahoe hatch is aluminum, bonding steel to aluminum is never a good idea. The Tahoe hatch power actuator is weight sensitive, the carbon skin works perfectly by reducing the weight while maintaining the structural integrity of the hatch.
